Mixed Experience at City Hotel

buck's fizzlow bathroom sinkwheelchair access room
The breakfast included a complimentary Buck's Fizz, a nice touch.
I was disappointed with the room assigned to me. It was a wheelchair access room, though I had not requested one. The bathroom sink was very low. I would have appreciated being informed about this at check-in, so I could.

adequate stay, some issues noted

steep hillinadequate lighting
The location was a bit challenging. the hotel is on a steep hill, posing difficulties for those with mobility issues. parking was also inconvenient. I had to park down the road and carry luggage uphill. furthermore, the room lacked proper ventilation, and a corner of the room had inadequate lighting.

The welcome was warm and included a glass of prosecco upon arrival. That was nice! the staff throughout the hotel were genuinely friendly. the breakfast menu stood out. It had a great selection and everything tasted fresh.
i found the hotel a bit lacking in atmosphere and the room felt quite small. also, the lighting in one corner of the room wasn't working. the shower in my room wasn't working at all! i mentioned it to the receptionist when checking out, but there wasn't any offer of a discount or even an apology.
